R. Lord, we give You thanks
For so many mercies,
For the living water,
From your wounded heart ;
Lord, we bless your name,
For You have redeemed us,
Given us your Spirit, given us our life.

1. God, You are my God ! My soul pines for You.
My soul is weary, waterless and dry.
In your temple, Lord, I have seen your pow’r.
I seek your face! I long for You !

2. Better is your love than all joys of life.
All of my longings are fulfilled through you.
When I hear your name, I lift up my hands.
To you, o Lord, I sing in praise !

3. In my bed at night, my thoughts are of you.
Lord, you have helped me ; your hand holds me up.
Hidden in your wings, I rejoice in you.
My heart and soul cling fast to you !

4. Those who hunt me down, who speak ill of me,
They will be silenced; they will be cast down.
But I trust in you, happy in your house.
In you, o God, I long to dwell !
