COTE IEV: 09-04-EN-PARTIEV
Words and music : G. du Boullay
Ch. Alleluia ! Alleluia !
Alleluia ! Alleluia !
1. Bless the Lord, my soul, how great You are ;
How far You are beyond sight.
Clothed in majesty and mystery,
Enrobed in glorious light.
2. Spreading out the heavens like a tent,
You give the waters their form ;
Driving in the clouds as chariots,
Upon the wings of the storm.
3. You have set the world upon its base,
Unshaken, solid and sure.
Like a garment, You spread out the seas,
Set bounds to keep it secure.
4. In the mountains, You have placed the springs,
Sent torrents down the ravine.
On the banks the birds have made their nests,
The wild beasts drink from the stream.
5. When the darkness falls, the lions roam,
They seek their food from your hand.
At the sunrise man goes out to toil,
To reap the fruits of the land.
6. Numberless the works, Lord, You have made ;
On earth and heaven above.
Creatures great and small of land and sea ;
They all depend on your love.
7. I shall sing to God for evermore ;
Make music all of my days.
May my life reflect his faithful love,
Proclaim his name all my days !
