R. He has come among us,
We have met and known Him,
Come and see Him now !
For our rescue
He accepted death,
But now the risen Jesus is Lord !
1. What we saw with our eyes,
What we touched with our hands,
This is what we have heard ;
Word of Life, Son of God.
2. True God born of true God,
He agreed to be man.
All who seek Him in truth,
To his Father He brings.
3. Through the Spirit He spoke,
From the Father He came,
Jesus, He is the light,
Sent to guide us to life.
4. God the Father so loved,
That He gave us his Son,
Not that we might be judged,
But to save us from sin.
5. Seeking sheep which have strayed,
Sent to rescue the lost,
Jesus, shepherd of souls,
Sets us free from our grief.
6. Put your trust in the Lord.
Life itself will be yours.
Who believes in his word,
Walks forever in light.
7. Come to him all who thirst,
All who labour in vain.
Give Him your open heart,
To be healed by his love.
