1. God is close at hand, He protects his own.
He preserves us from all who wish us harm.
2. He has shown his love to his faithful ones,
Generations will praise his faithful love.
3. You my little child, speak God’s word to all ;
Go before Him to make his coming known.
4. In his tenderness He fulfills his word,
Sends his light to drive darkness from our hearts.
5. Death had shadowed us, but He rescued us,
He has set our feet on the way of peace.
