R. Awake, o people of God,
The watchmen call from afar.
Across the mountains proclaim :
Our holy Saviour will come.
With our own eyes we will see !
Hail our Redeemer and King !

1. Shout for joy, yes, from the dust arise !
By your chains, you are no longer bound.
God consoles his own : they grieve no more,
Now the Lord sets you free !

2. Where is God, has He forgotten me ?
As forsaken, I am known by all.
Shout to God, for He will hear your voice,
God takes care of us all.

3. God will fill you with his gifts, rejoice !
You will be rebuilt again in joy.
Shine, arise for now your light has come,
Do not fear, your God saves !

4. Though the mountains fall and hills depart,
Still the love of the Lord God will stand.
Yes, God’s steadfast love and peace remain.
God has mercy on us !
