10-26-EN By the Spirit He gives to us

R. By the Spirit He gives to us,
We’re children now of God most high.
As his children He makes us free,
Let us proclaim Him by our lives !

1. Born of the love of God for us,
Salt of the earth and light for all,
Leaven of love to heal the world ;
The Spirit gives his pow’r to us.

2. Formed in his likeness with his grace,
We may now love as He loved us ;
His image carved upon our hearts,
For those who love Him grow in love.

3. Filled by the Spirit with his strength,
We overcome all evil now.
Chosen as children of our God,
We share his glory still to come.

4. Knowing that God has loved us so,
We have no fear of loving too.
Open your hearts, let hope return,
Become the bearers of his peace.

5. Mary stands with us, at our side,
Mother of Christ and of us all.
She shows the way, she guides us home,
On life’s long journey to her Son.
