R. Exult with cries of joy, O Jerusalem,
Rejoice with gladness, daughter of Israel.
Sing and dance, exult with all your heart,
The Lord, your God, has come to dwell among you now.
1. He has banished the accusers who sought your life,
He has vanquished all your enemies.
Now the Lord is king among you, Jerusalem,
You have nothing more to fear, God is here !
2. On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem :
Daughter you have nothing more to fear.
Do not let your hands fall limp on that happy day,
When the Lord, your Saviour, fights at your side.
3. He rejoices over you with a song of joy,
He renews you with his saving love.
He will dance for You with shouts of exultant love ;
On that joyful festive day, He will dance.
