R. Save us, Lord,
While we are awake,
Protect us while we sleep ;
That we may keep watch,
Keep watch with Christ
And rest with Him in peace.
1. At last, all pow’rful Master, You give leave to your servant,
To go in peace according to your word.
For my eyes have seen your salvation
Which you have prepared for all nations.
2. At last, my eyes have seen the light you give to the Gentiles
And glory for your people Israel.
To the Father, the Son and the Spirit,
‘til the end of time be the glory.
