14-53-EN Come, all you who thirst

R. Come, all you who thirst,
O come to Me now and drink.
For living water flows from my heart,
Water that gives eternal life. (2x)

1. Let all the deserts bloom, dry lands now rejoice ;
All the deserts cry out with joy.
Rivers will run down on all the barren plains;
All will see the glory of the Lord.

2. Strengthen all the weary hands, steady all the weak ;
Say to all the faint of heart:
Do not be afraid, be strong, your God is here,
Coming to save all the world.

3. On that day the blind will have their sight restored ;
All the deaf will hear once again.
Leaping like deer, the lame will come to dance,
Singing for joy will be the mute.

4. Water will flow out in all the barren lands,
Streams springing up once again.
Living things will thrive as water flows once more,
Parched ground will bear new life again.

5. To the holy mountain God will set a path,
Those He has ransomed will return.
They will come to Zion, all crying out for joy,
Singing and rejoicing ever more.
