R. The Spirit will come to teach you the truth,
From my Father above.
If you keep my word and ponder it well,
It will bring you new life !
1. Jesus risen from the dead,
Aflame with burning love,
Pours his Spirit in our hearts
To make us new again.
2. Holy Spirit, advocate,
Is sent to us from God,
Showing us the Father’s love,
As children of his Word.
3. This is my new covenant
Which I have made with you ;
I will carve it in your hearts,
And set my seal on you.
4. God has given us his law,
But now not carved in stone ;
For the Spirit lives in us,
And teaches us to love.
5. God once hidden in the cloud,
Reveals himself to us ;
God’s own Spirit, in our hearts :
We’re temples of the Lord.
