Ch. God so loved the world He created,
That He gave his only Son.
Not to condemn but rescue his people :
All who believe in Him shall have life !

1. I am the bread of life ;
Whoever eats this bread will live forever ;
If you eat my flesh and drink my blood,
You will live in me and I in you.

2. I am the light of the world ;
Follow me and walk no more in darkness ;
Then you will have the light of life,
As witness to the father who sent me.

3. Before Abraham was, I am ;
I am of God and come from Him ;
Whoever will truly keep my word,
Will never see death.

4. I am the gate of the sheepfold,
Those who enter by me will be saved ;
I came that they might have life,
And live it to the full.

5. I am the Good Shepherd,
I know my sheep and my sheep know me.
I lay down my life for my sheep,
And no-one shall take them from me.

6. I am the Son of God,
What I do in the name of my father is my witness;
Believe in what I do that you may know,
That the father is in me and I in Him.

7. I am the resurrection,
Those who believe in me though they die, will live,
Whoever lives and believes in me
Will never die.
