1. May God, the Lord, be blest and praised
For He has come to visit us,
Just as He promised us He would,
To free us from the chains of sin.
The Lord has come into the world
Dispersing darkness, bringing hope,
For He has won the victory.
Yes, Jesus has defeated death :

Ch. For life, for life has made itself known,
That life which looks towards the Father’s love ;
For life, for life has made itself known,
And we proclaim to you that God is life !

2. In God is trust and wisdom found,
Before Him peace and justice march,
He is the way, the truth, the life ;
Our love, our laughter and our light.
He came to save us from our sins,
A star to guide us through the night,
To lift the darkness from our hearts
And lead us to eternal life.

3. What we with our own eyes have seen,
What we have felt and touched and heard,
We witness to the Word of life,
For grace and truth have come through Him.
Yes, He is faithful evermore,
He loves us though we turn away,
Eternal Word of God most high,
He heals us from the wounds of sin.

4. He gave his life to save us all,
So, through his Spirit we’re reborn,
For in Him perfect love is found,
Who lives in love remains in Him.
He is the true and only light,
Who comes from God and is of God,
He came as man to save the world,
So, we may know his Father’s love.
